West Alabama Remodeling Answers
Your Construction Timeline, Cost, and Service Questions, Answered
Is there a fee for getting a project estimate or initial consultation?
No. Elite Renovations & Construction provides completely free project evaluations and initial consultations across all 13 counties we serve in West Alabama. There is no evaluation fee and no obligation attached to the visit. Marcus Sledge or a member of the team will review your project scope, walk through the details with you, and give you a clear picture of what the work involves before any agreement is made. This is one of the ways we make it easy for homeowners and property managers to get real answers without any financial pressure upfront. What kind of warranty do you offer on remodeling and home addition work?
We stand behind our work with a standard two-year warranty on all structural add-ons and home improvements. If something needs attention after the project is complete, there are zero service charges for warranty follow-up visits. This applies to additions, structural builds, and other improvements we complete. We put this policy in place because we treat every client property the way we would treat our own, and backing our craftsmanship with a no-fee warranty is the natural extension of that commitment. What types of remodeling and construction projects does Elite handle?
Our core focus is residential interior remodeling, which makes up the large majority of our work. This includes full home additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, apartment turnovers, curb appeal upgrades, sunrooms, and interior gut-and-rebuild projects. We also handle outdoor and hardscaping work, including custom decks, patios, retaining walls, fire pits, fencing, earthmoving, and complete backyard transformations. For specialized situations, we partner with Restoration 1 to coordinate mold remediation and water damage restoration, with our crew handling all structural demolition and reconstruction after the remediation phase is complete. One important note: we do not build custom new homes from the ground up.How do you structure payments, and is full payment required before work starts?
We structure project billing to reflect the scope and progress of the work rather than requiring full labor payment upfront. This approach helps keep billing clear and connected to measurable project progress. Qualifying structural improvements are also backed by a two year warranty, providing additional peace of mind after the project is complete. How quickly does the team respond to calls, texts, or messages?
Staying reachable is a core part of how we operate. Marcus Sledge keeps his phone available around the clock, and our office team, which includes his wife and sister handling communications and coordination, ensures that calls, texts, and email inquiries get a prompt response. Verified clients have praised the team specifically for daily contact and consistent follow-through during active projects. Rapid callbacks and proactive updates throughout a project are standard practice, not exceptions. Will my confirmed appointment ever be rescheduled?
No. We hold a strict policy against rescheduling confirmed client appointments. If a time is set, we will be there. This is a deliberate operational commitment, not just a preference. One of the most common frustrations homeowners across West Alabama share is contractors who cancel or push back scheduled visits. We built our scheduling policy specifically to eliminate that experience. When you book a consultation or site visit with Elite Renovations & Construction, that appointment is treated as a firm commitment on our end. What areas in Alabama do you serve?
We serve a 13 county territory across West Alabama. Our primary base is Tuscaloosa County, with coverage extending into Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Perry, Walker, Marion, Greene, Sumter, Pickens, Fayette, Bibb, and Marengo counties. Key communities we regularly work in include Tuscaloosa, Northport, Cottondale, Brookwood, Bessemer, Hoover, Moundville, Vernon, Centreville, Livingston, and Marion.Who supervises the work on-site during my project?
Every active job site is managed by a dedicated on-site supervisor, who is Marcus Sledge's brother-in-law. In addition, Marcus himself conducts regular site visits throughout the project to review quality and ensure the work meets our standards. This dual layer of oversight, with a full-time supervisor present and the owner checking in directly, is part of how we maintain consistent quality across all projects. The office team also stays in contact with clients throughout the build, providing updates and handling supply and scheduling coordination behind the scenes.
